Dating to around 1810-1820, these exceptional, hand-blown wine glasses have six sliced cuts, a high lead content and a smoothed, polished pontil.

The glasses vary slightly, as would be expected, in height, diameter and other dimensions.

Typical of the period, the foot diameter exceeds the bowl diameter and the glass has the usual striations.

This is a lovely example of a mid-Victorian water or lemonade jug. It is very well made, with thick, heavy glass and solid, applied handle. It is plain, apart from 3 concentric ridges, roughly two thirds of the way up. It has a ground and polished pontil.

Immaculate condition. No chips or cracks. Hardly any surface wear, even to the base. There is a very small amount of surface scratching. The usual stiration and tiny air bubbles.</description>

This is a dark brown stoneware bottle, with its paper label still intact, apart from two, miniscule nicks at the edge. 

Most of the writing on the bottle is so clear that it's hard to believe it hasn't just been printed. It reads, in black ink, (from top):

A very pretty little dish with a folded rim and a ground and polished pontil. The edges have been slice-cut, giving a semi-fluted appearance. The main body of the bowl have been cut and etched with flowers and trailing leaves.

Height (including stopper): 25 cm (9.75 inches)

Diameter (at widest point): 12.5 cm (5 inches) 

The neck of the decanter is decorated with 8 flute cuts and the body has a row of small, concave printies. The base is star cut. The blown-ball stopper matches the decanter in every detail with a deep, flute-cut neck, a row of concave printies at its widest point and a star-cut top. Inside the stopper there is a teardrop with a sharp point. The stopper is a good match but, unfortunately, not the original (the decanter is etched with a number 6, the stopper with a number 5. Good lead content. 

Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Some minor surface scratching.</description>

This is a particularly fine example. 

Height (including lid): 14.75 cm (5.75 inches)
Height (excluding lid): 11.2 cm (4.8 inches) 
Diameter (at base): 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) 

The top two thirds of this jar have been cut into diamond facets which pick up the light and give the jar an almost radiant shine.The bottom third has been given deep, vertical cuts, which divide the outside into 18 narrow panels. The base and lid are both star cut and the widest part of the lid has been decorated with diamond facets to match the rest of the jar. The glass has the stirations commensurate with a jar of this age and an occasional air bubble. The lip of the jar and the stopper part of the lid have both been etched with a very small number 5. 

No chips or cracks. The expected minimal wear to the base. Excellent condition.</description>

A particularly attractive example of this kind of jar. It has deep, vertical cuts, dividing the outside into 12 panels. The top half of each panel has been cut into two lots of four squares. The lid is star cut and has square facets at its widest part, mirroring the rest of the jar. The base is plain with a smoothed out and polished pontil. The glass itself has the stirations you would expect to see in a jar of this age and an occasional air bubble. The base and lid are both etched with a very small number 5. 

No chips or cracks. There is minimal wear to the base as would be expected. Excellent condition.</description>

A lovely example of this kind of jar, very popular in the Victorian era. 

Height (including lid): 15 cm (6 inches)
Height (excluding lid): 12 cm (4.5 inches) 
Diameter (at base): 7.5 cm (3 inches) 

Very heavy glass, with a star cut base. The jar has deep, vertical cuts which divide the outside into 6 panels. Each panel is decorated in the centre with a vertical, elongated, printy cut. A further printy cut, this time horizontal, has been made across the top of each panel. The lid, like the base, is star cut and has small, printy cuts to match the rest of the jar. 

No chips or cracks. There is minimal wear to the base as would be expected and some very minor internal scratching. Overall, the jar is in excellent condition.</description>

A complete early Twentieth Century stoneware dripping pot, with two handles and a pouring spout. Underneath the lid, it still has its original sieving tray. The pot itself is light brown in colour, with a dark brown stripe around the top edge and a mid brown stripe just below. The word 'Dripping' has been pressed out of the side of the pot and is, therefore, raised to the touch. 

No stamps or maker's marks. 

No chips or cracks. Excellent condition</description>

A large and exquisitely detailed decanter of superb quality, dating to around 1860. 

Height (including stopper): 29 cm (11.4 inches)
Height (excluding stopper): 22.5 cm (8.75 inches) 
Diameter (at widest point): 14 cm (5.5 inches) 

The neck of the decanter is decorated with 8 deep, flute cuts and the body is filled with two rows of deep-cut, elongated, concave printies. The base is star cut. The original blown-ball stopper matches the decanter in every detail with a deep, flute-cut neck, a row of concave printies at its widest point and a star-cut top. Inside the stopper there is a teardrop with a sharp point. The piece is extremely heavy and of superior quality. Both the decanter and the stopper have been etched with a very small number 8. Good lead content. 

Immaculate condition. No chips or cracks. Hardly any surface wear, even to the base. One, tiny, internal scratch low down in the neck, which must have been caused as the piece was being made.</description>
